Motivating students for exam

Daniel Lim

Twenty-six Year 6 students from St James’ School attended an examination tips and motivational talk as they prepared for the upcoming Primary School Assessment (PSR) examination at the school’s meeting room recently.

Principal Riman binti Sitai and Deputy Principal Leonardo Amo led the talk.

Speaking to the Bulletin, Riman spoke on the ‘10 habits of highly effective students’, where she emphasised the importance of planning, group study, setting goals and revision to mention a few.

She also urged students to avoid distractions as the examination date draws closer. “Do not procrastinate,” she said.

Meanwhile, the deputy principal encouraged the students to aim high, believe, instil discipline among themselves, to hit their intended target, and find ways to improve in their exam.

“Equip students with tips and motivate them to excel in the exam,” said Leonardo.
