Pehin Khatib Abdullah (PeKA) Mosque recently received waqaf in the form of a hearse (van jenazah) at its premises in Kampong Kulapis.
Imam Abdul Najib Syazwan bin Shahrani said the van will further assist residents in funeral management.
A handover ceremony was held following mass Subuh prayers and the recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi, led by assistant imam Haji Md Burhanuddin bin Haji Damit.
Acting Assistant Director of the Mosque Affairs Department Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu received the key to the van from Hajah Safiah binti Haji Mahmud on behalf of her family and the family of late Imam Haji Awang Mahmud bin Pehin Jawatan Dalam Awang Ismail. – Rokiah Mahmud
