Thirteen orphans living in Kampong Sungai Besar received coupons to purchase school supplies from the Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque on Monday.
The donation was made in conjunction with the 39th anniversary of the mosque’s establishment, which falls on January 1.
The donation was presented by the mosque’s advisor Haji Mohiddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman. Also present was Acting Village Head of Kampong Sungai Besar, Kampong Serdang and Kampong Sungai Belukut Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Haji Awang Zaini bin Haji Damit.
The mosque also held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark the anniversary. Since its establishment 39 years ago, the mosque has served as a hub of religious worship for the village, along with community and educational activities.
