In conjunction with International Volunteer Day 2024, Al-Muflihun Learning Centre, in collaboration with Al-Mashor Sungai Mau Mosque Takmir Committee, organised a community service programme titled ‘Masjidku Bersih’ at Al-Mashor Mosque in Kampong Sungai Mau, Belait District.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the programme’s organiser and founder of Al-Muflihun Learning Centre, Awangku Abdul Qayum bin Pengiran Bakar.
This was followed by welcoming remarks and the participants being divided into groups to undertake the mosque cleaning campaign.
A total of 45 participants, including members of the mosque’s Takmir Committee, youth and Kampong Sungai Mau residents cleaned the mosque’s interior and exterior.
The initiative was supported by Mosque Affairs Officer imam Haji Akup bin Haji Lamat. Cleaning supplies were also donated to the imam of Al-Mashor Mosque, Pengiran Md Abdul Malik Syafi’ie bin Pengiran Haji Md Abdul Aziz. – Fadley Faisal
