Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman presented Waqaf items, donations and stalls contributed by imagine Sdn Bhd, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Syarikat T-Mark Jaya, Allied Engineering and the public at an event at the Kampong Selapon Dakwah Post.
Organised by Ittiqaf Group from the 32nd Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) course participants as part of the course’s community project, the event saw the attendance of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and Acting Temburong District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim.
Acting Director of Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI) Haji Abdissalam @ Haji Erman bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Temburong Religious Officer Ali Hassan bin Mohamad Said, Kampong Selapon Village Head Martian @ Martin bin Apoi, Selapon Primary School Headmaster Ahmad Waridi bin Haji Ahmad and imagine Head of Corporate Affairs Siti Hajar binti Mahathir were also present.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and welcoming remarks by Head of Ittiqaf Group Pengiran Hajah Nurul Ihsan binti Pengiran Haji Damit.
This was followed with a video presentation on ‘Bersamamu Selapon’ and presentation of Waqaf items and stalls to the PDI acting director, contribution for the Selapon Hall to the Kampong Selapon village head and donation to Selapon Primary School received by the headmaster.
In efforts to build the village’s socio-economy, the group delivered a product marketing briefing to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of the village at the Selapon Village Hall on March 6. The acting village head also attended.
Mohammad Gaddafy bin Haji Shadoon from DJ Daffy Store, Assistant Head of Muallaf Development Division Zaerah binti Haji Mus and Konsortium Muallafpreneurs Chairperson at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Nuraini binti Muhd Amlee delivered the briefings.
It is hoped that the briefing will raise SME’s knowledge in promoting One Village, One Product (1K1P) for Kampong Selapon while the community project is to support nation building to achieve Brunei Vision 2035.
