It’s great to know that there are people who are determined to fight against plastic pollution, based on the number of news articles regarding plastic waste published in the Bulletin.
Most items on sale come with plastic packaging, such as food wraps, containers and even “Paid” stickers.
As an environmentally-friendly individual, I used to collect recyclables. However, finding recycle bins can be challenging, requiring a large amount of time and effort. My suggestion is to have the option of having a bin for recycling next to the regular garbage bin at our home compound. It would provide the convenience for those of us who want to reduce our carbon footprint as well as raise awareness on the importance of recycling.
I also urge the authorities to place more recycling bins at strategic locations such as schools, supermarkets, department stores and restaurants to promote green practices.
