Munajat nights being organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) every Saturday night was held for the 50th time on Saturday.
It saw the participation of officers and staff from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The weekly religious gathering involved their family members and congregants from 92 mosques, suraus and religious halls.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman was in attendance.
The Munajat night began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof from Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
The reading of Surah Yaasiin was led by Permanent Secretary (Civil Service Governance) at the PMO Ajman bin Haji Meludin and Permanent Secretary of the Department of Energy at the PMO Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya along with officers and staff at the PMO.
It continued with Doa Munajat led by Buhuth Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Haji Martino @ Abdul Azim bin Haji Ahmad.
A religious talk on ‘Encouragement to be Strong Muslim’ was delivered by officer at the Centre for Research and Publication, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Hamzah bin Haji Jali, who is also an accredited religious preacher from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB).
Selawat Tafrijiyyah was led by Deputy Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah at the PMO Haji Muhammad Ibrahim bin Haji Juma’at.
To bless the event, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Mohamad bin Haji Bagol.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan was also present.
