The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) yesterday distributed 15-piece KFC chicken buckets to 100 needy families across the country.

MKM President Mohd Yusof Halim said, “We received an overwhelming response for our Brunei Sungkai Project.

“We distributed 770 meals everyday for the first 15 days of Ramadhan, totalling 11,550 meals. We also held the ‘Sejambak Kasih’ Project where we handed out food necessities valued at BND165 to 100 families. We purchased and distributed 15-piece KFC chicken buckets to 100 needy families under MKM list with the remaining donations we received.”

MKM is a registered non-governmental organisation and is totally dependent on public donations to carry out its charitable projects in Brunei and regionally.
