Misbun Ramdan gets back into rhythm with Purple League

KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA) – Former Malaysian national player Misbun Ramdan Misbun is hoping to get back his rhythm at the Purple League Pro-Am Championship to be held from December 29 to January 3 at Kompleks Kejiranan Presint 11, Putrajaya.

The son of Malaysian badminton legend Datuk Misbun Sidek admitted that he was struggling to get back to his original form after taking a long break due to his achilles tendon injury in the right leg in 2014.

“I hope to get back to my best as there will only be 16 shuttlers taking part in the men’s singles.

“The competition will definitely be intense but I hope I can give my best after recovering from this injury, and I hope I can make my family proud,” said the 29-year-old.

Over 60 professional Malaysian shutters will take part in the championship which offers three categories, men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles, with the overall prize money at MYR100,000.
