I would like to call on the authorities to consider arranging for minor road works to be done outside rush hours.
I was recently stuck in traffic congestion on a busy highway during office hours, wondering the whole time if there was an accident up ahead.
After all, whenever there is an accident – no matter how small – it tends to draw attention from motorists. However, to my dismay, one lane was closed to fix a small pothole.
The resulting jam was unnecessary. Quite a number of us don’t hold office-bound jobs; we often need to attend meetings in a different district.
So it would be good if minor road works are scheduled to be carried out after dark, when the roads are less busy.
