Ministry to hold regular WAH exercise sessions

The Ministry of Education (MoE), through the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Division, Department of Administration and Services in collaboration with the Department of Co-Curriculum Education held the opening session for the workplace and health (WAH) programme initiative yesterday.

The session was held at the car park of the ministry’s headquarters from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad was the guest of honour.

The WAH programme aims to increase awareness and the importance of healthy lifestyles and emphasises on integrated action in the detection and prevention of non-communicable disease risk factors in the workplace.

A total of 30 sessions will be carried in all districts led by the MoE’s heads of departments.
