The Ministry of Education (MoE) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Kampong Salambigar Mosque yesterday.
The event was organised by the Examinations Department in collaboration with the Education Technology Centre and the National Education Council Secretariat.
Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad was the guest of honour.
The ministry also presented waqaf to the mosque, which included audio equipment.
The event is part of the annual religious activities for the ministry and its departments to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan.
It also served to enhance the practice of worship and strengthen ties among officers, staff and the local community. – James Kon
