The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and departments under it held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony in glorifying the month of Ramadhan at Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Akar on Thursday.
Organised in collaboration with the Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque Takmir committee, the MCYS delegation was led by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
The ceremony commenced with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the reading of Juzuk 7 of Al-Quran and recitation of Doa to guard from COVID-19 as well as Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony continued with the handing over of Waqaf (endowment) donation, before it concluded with a mass Asar prayer.
Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at the MCYS Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Strategy and Policy Management) Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, MCYS officials and mosque congregants also attended the ceremony.
