The Ministry of Health yesterday said blood supplies are running low at blood banks across the Sultanate, especially types A, B, and AB to meet the demand for blood transfusions.
The ministry called on the public to make a contribution at the Blood Donation Centre or any of the nearby blood banks.
A blood donation campaign is set to take place today from 7.30am to 9.30pm on Level 2 of the Annajat Complex in Beribi. On March 23 and 24, a blood donation drive will be held at Banquet Hall of J Hotel in Taibah Complex, Kiulap from 8pm to 10pm.
The blood bank of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in the Belait District has also teamed up with The Art of Living of Panaga Club to hold a campaign on March 24, from 9am to 1pm, at the main hall of the Panaga Club.
Booking a slot through the Bloodkad app prior to attending any of the events is encouraged. – Adib Noor
