The public is urged to not share personal infromation with suspicious callers as scammers continue to make calls claiming to represent the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference noted that the ministry is aware of the matter, adding that it has issued an advisory for the public to not answer the calls.
Amid the third wave of the pandemic, the public have been receiving calls from individuals speaking in Mandarin, claiming to represent the MoH and further demanding personal information for ‘verification’.
“The MoH takes this matter seriously and has made a report to the relevant authorities for further investigation,” it said in a statement on Sunday.
