Ministers briefed on specs of family-friendly electric car

The line-up of electric vehicles (EV) at the EV Pilot Project Exhibition at Bridex included an MG EZS from local authorised distributor, GHK Motors Sdn Bhd.

Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Ir Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar charged the vehicle on display and took a closer look into the cabin of the SUV EV to mark the unveiling ceremony.

GHK Motors Sales and Marketing Manager Wong Peng Hoon and MG & Maxus Division and GHK Motors Technical Instructor Chung Chik Tung briefed the minister on the vehicle specification.

GHK Motors Director Jake Goh was also present.

A family-friendly electric car, designed for those who want all the advantages of a zero-emissions vehicle without compromising on practicality or style, the MG EZS contributes dues towards nature and it is a practical car with an extensive features list. Charging the new MG EZS is as simple as it can be with the availability of the CCS and Type 2 ports to give the EZS a real acceleration that is powered by a 44.5-kilowatt-per-hour, liquid-cooled, lithium-ion battery and it delivers 353Nm of instant torque with 105 kilowatts of power.

The EZS boost a high performance delivered through the EDS intelligent electric driving system, VCU high-efficiency intelligent electronic control system, CATL hi-power super dense lithium batteries and intelligent battery temperature control.

“As a member of the EV Joint Task Force, GHK supports the introduction of electric vehicles in Brunei Darussalam as the country works towards the goal of 2035 – 60 per cent of new cars that are purchased to be EVs,” said a spokesperson for GHK Motors.

GHK also aims to reach out to the public to educate on the benefits of EVs for the environment and economic use.
