Minister warns against complacency amid low new case numbers

The public should not be complacent, celebrate or be too comfortable with the current decrease in new COVID-19 cases. Instead, they should be grateful and cautious.

This was the call made by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud during Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).

The minister also expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar for motivating the frontliners to work tirelessly to contain the outbreak.

Each week, the Munajat night gathers MoRA employees and the public to seek forgiveness and repentance from Allah the Almighty through Istighfar, recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Zikir and Selawat.

There arealso recitations of Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat.

Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were also present.
