Members of the public testing positive on antigen rapid test (ART) are reminded to upload the results on to the BruHealth app in accordance with current health protocols.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah gave this reminder at a press conference yesterday, adding that active cases and close contacts should update their health status on the BruHealth app daily during the quarantine period. This will allow the Ministry of Health to manage and monitor the health of the patients better and more efficiently.
Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew also urged the private sector not to use employees undergoing quarantine as a justification to cut salaries or terminate employment.
The minister said the Employment Order, 2009 states that an employee is entitled sick leave with full pay.
The government understands the difficulties faced by the private sector due to the pandemic. Thus both employers and employees are advised to shoulder the burden in a harmonious and deliberative manner, he said.
