Minister highlights lifelong Quranic learning

Continuous efforts to deepen the understanding of Quranic verses are essential for guidance and life lessons beyond just completing the recitation of all 30 Juzuk, said Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.

Speaking at the Nuqra Mega Convocation 2024 on Saturday at Sutera Hall, Rizqun Hotel, the Minister underscored the importance of sustaining Quranic learning as a lifelong journey. The event celebrated the achievements of over 200 students from the Nuqra Quranic Learning Centre (NQLC).

The ceremony commenced with speeches from NQLC Managing Director Sukmawati Dewi binti Masduki and the Minister of Religious Affairs. In his address, the Minister emphasised that understanding and applying the teachings of the Quran are crucial for spiritual growth and moral guidance.

Certificates were then presented to students from NQLC’s three branches, who had completed various programmes, including foundational courses, tajwid studies, and full Quranic recitation.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Istiqamah Award to students who demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment throughout their studies. The award serves as both recognition and encouragement for continued Quranic learning.

The convocation concluded with a group photo session and a dinner reception, celebrating the students’ accomplishments. – Fadley Faisal
