Fresh fisheries, livestock and agricultural products will be available at the 12th Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen’s Day Mini Expo at the Muhibbah Hall, Jalan Airport Lama in Berakas on November 3.
The mini expo, in conjunction with Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen’s Day, is organised in recognition and appreciation to those who help spur the country’s farming, livestock and fishing sectors, contributing to the country’s economy and serves as the nation’s drive towards food security.
The Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen’s Day’s theme ‘Empowering Value-Added Products, Drivers of National Economy’ focusses on increasing local production through value-added products. This takes into account the country’s food security is guaranteed with the effects of local food productions.
An exhibition by agencies with cooperation and support from the agriculture and fisheries sectors will be held. In addition, sales of agricultural, fishery and agrifood products from farmers, livestock breeders, fishermen and agrifood entrepreneurs will be available.
Programmes and activities will be held including seminars by agricultural and fisheries entrepreneurs, quizzes with prizes to be won, business matching as well as demonstrations of agricultural and fisheries products such as making shrimp crackers, lekor crackers and salted eggs.
