MHTC boosts promotion for health tourists from Indonesia

JAKARTA (Bernama) – The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) will continue to boost the promotion of Malaysian hospitality and healthcare services in Indonesia, which is seen as having a large market with its population exceeding 260 million people.

MHTC Commercial Division Chief Officer Nik Yazmin Nik Azman said over 670,000 Indonesian nationals obtained medical treatments and hospitality in Malaysia last year.

“MHTC holds the 2019 Malaysia Healthcare Expo (2019 MHX) programme in the effort to promote Malaysia Healthcare globally, by focusing on Indonesia as one of our major markets,” she said.

The 2019 MHX, held on Friday and yesterday, at Central Park Mall was participated by 11 private Malaysian health centres and institutions.
