BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) held a briefing on the benefits of its BIBD NEXGEN banking capabilities for merchants, for the MSME Festival to be held at the Bridex International Conference Centre on March 28-31, at the International Convention Centre in Berakas (ICC).
The implementation of the BIBD NEXGEN platform via the introduction of BIBD’s branchless banking concept will further tap into the underserved and unbanked segments, de-cash the economy with digital payments that are secure, innovative and documented, creating a robust local digital payment ecosystem, a press release stated.
During the briefing yesterday, BIBD also highlighted its key digital innovation features such as vCard, QuickPay, and BIBD Wallet in partnership with the Progresif Pay application.
BIBD Head of Retail Banking Group Hajah Nurul Akmar binti Haji Mohd Jaafar commented that, “In creating alliances, especially with non-banking industries, we are able to extend our expertise onto a larger audience who were traditionally not able to enjoy being part of a digital economic ecosystem.”
BIBD will also showcae its revised MSME account that will focus on including more entrepreneurs to better understand and manage their business financial.
