Belait District Football League 2022’s latest match saw Mengelella FC and Nusantara FC fighting hard to end in a draw on August 20 at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) football field.
Both teams started strong in the first half, it was in the second half that Nusantara FC came close to scoring a goal but it was marred by a foul issued by the referee. Mengelella FC also missed and nearly scored a goal in a penalty shootout. Both teams defended their goals to the end as the match drew to a close with 0-0.
Belait District Football League 2022 is an annual event organised by the Belait District Football Association (PBDB) with more matches lined up in the coming weeks. The next two matches will be held on Saturday at the BSRC football field with Hoist FC going up against HR FT and Liang Lumut Belait ST against Mengelella FC.
