Meeting focusses on ways to reduce crime, accidents

BANGAR Police Station, grassroots leaders and government agencies in Temburong District held a quarterly meeting at the Temburong District Office on Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by the Acting Commanding Officer of Temburong Police District DSP Pengiran Muhaimin bin Pengiran Haji Mustafa.

According to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the meeting was an opportunity to discuss crime and road accident statistics and also ways to prevent criminal activities through nightly surveillance in village areas.

RBPF also said the meeting paved the way for grassroots leaders to relay views and concerns on various issues for the collective goal of a harmonious and safe community and also foster closer ties between all the stakeholders.

Advisors and Chairpersons of Neighbourhood Watch groups including Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Bokok Yang Berhormat Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, mukim penghulus and village heads, Head of the Temburong branch of Internal Security Department, Commanding Officer of Company ‘E’ of Bangar Camp, as well as Neighbourhood Watch members of the district attended the meeting.
