The Ministry of Education (MoE), Ministry of Energy, the Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in collaboration with the Manpower Industry Steering Committee (MISC) Energy which is a committee under the MPEC, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) are organising a Market Engagement Day for training organisations on August 11 from 7.45am to noon at the Banquet Hall of the PMO.
The Market Engagement Day aims to showcase information on the latest manpower demand in the energy sector as well as registration processes and guidelines to become a registered training organisation (RTOs) which will enable the organisation to run IBTE’s programmes in the energy sector namely; iSkill™ NTEC Level 3 Welding, iSkill™ ISQ Level 2 Scaffolding, iSkill™ ISQ Level 2 Riggers, iSkill™ ISQ Level 2 Blaster Painter, iSkill™ ISQ Level 2 Marker/Pipe Fitter and ISQ Level 2 Welding to local companies, a press release stated.
The programmes are jointly developed through collaboration between industry players, IBTE and regulators via the MISC Energy with the objective of producing an industry ready local workforce. The delivery of these programmes is open to training organisations who are registered at the MoE.
The closing date for registration is August 10 at noon.
Attendance is limited to two representatives per company as per COVID-19 preventative measures.
