Two local men were detained by Lamunin Police Station personnel for allegedly stealing over 70 mangoes from an area in Kampong Piasan Lamunin on November 16-17.
The suspects, Mohammad Khairil bin Kassim, 26, and Mazlan bin Tali, 41, who are unemployed were detained following information provided by the public.
Initial investigations revealed that the mangoes were taken by the two suspects with a third man driving a black car. The stolen mangoes were sold at the vegetable stall in Kampong Mulaut.
The suspects produced before the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were ordered to be remanded until further mention of the case on November 23.
