Man Utd Fan Veteran emerged champions of the English Premier League (EPL) Supporter Veteran Futsal Friendly Match 2022 held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Hockey Field in Jalan Tungku Link last weekend.
Arsenal Fans finished runners-up while Liverpool Bru Reds and Liverpool LG took third and fourth places.
Contested in a round robin format, Man Utd Fan Veteran topped the four-team group with seven points to their name.
Arsenal Fans were second-best with six points while Liverpool Bru Reds had two and Liverpool LG with one point.
Man Utd Fan made certain of triumph after recording a 3-1 win over Liverpool LG and 2-0 over Arsenal, with a goalless draw against Liverpool Bru Reds ensuring their unbeaten record remain intact.
The friendly match aimed to strengthen closer ties among the various football supporters’ clubs in the country, as well as promote an active and healthy lifestyle through sport.
The tournament was open to veteran players aged 40 and above.
