CHIEF Magistrate Pengiran Masni binti Pengiran Haji Bahar handed a one month imprisonment to a 48-year-old local who pleaded guilty to trespassing into the army compound and causing annoyance to an occupant at one of the barracks.

DPP Raihan Nabilah binti Ahmad Ghazali revealed in court that Mohammad Jambari bin Nawi, a former uniformed personnel himself, drove to the Berakas Camp compound and headed straight to the barracks which he knew to house women.

He stacked chairs outside to peep into an air-conditioner unit outlet, which was covered with a wooden plank.

After seeing a view of clothes, he went to the front of the barrack and rang the doorbell, waking up its occupants.

A man who stayed at the barrack looked out through the door and saw the defendant running away.

He gave chase and with the help of neighbours, succeeded in apprehending the defendant.

The incident was reported to the police and led to the defendant’s arrest.
