An individual was fined BND200 for littering along Jalan Pengasing, Kampong Sengkarai recently.
According to the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe), the act was caught on CCTV, where the individual was seen disposing of trash from a vehicle in a public area.
The compound fine was issued under the Miscellaneous Offences Act (Amendment) 2021 and the individual was given seven days to settle the fine or be produced in court. – Daniel Lim
