A 40-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday for allegedly brandishing a sickle at a barracks in the Belait District.
No plea was taken from Mohamad Bojie bin Haji Mos who is alleged to have the weapon in his possession at a public place, the barracks at Jalan Dermawangsa, Kuala Belait at 9pm on November 13.
Prosecutors Nur Zahidah Farhanah binti Abdul Aziz and Ahmad Firdaus bin Mohammad sought for the court to give way for the police to complete investigations.
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered for the defendant to remain in police custody and assist them in the investigations, before adjourning the case to November 19 for further mention.
