THE Magistrate’s Court yesterday sentenced a Malaysian man to three months’ imprisonment and three strokes for entering Brunei illegally.

Jenie bin Victoriano, 42, was arrested by Limau Manis Police at Kampong Junjungan at 7.17pm on January 10, 2019 on failing to produce his travel documents when the police demanded to see it. Investigations revealed that the defendant rode a motorcycle from Limbang into Brunei through no official authorised checkpoint that day to visit his uncle here.
