KUALA LUMPUR (XINHUA) – Malaysia reported 31 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the national total to 9,946, the Health Ministry said yesterday.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement three of the new cases are imported and 28 are local transmissions.
Another seven patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total cured and discharged to 9,203, or 92.5 per cent of cases.
Of the remaining 615 active cases, 11 are being held in intensive care and five of those are in need of assisted breathing. No new deaths have been reported, leaving the total deaths at 128.
