RHB Bank Berhad held a Pop Up event yesterday at the Space by Boxr in Kampong Beribi as part of the bank’s Touch Hearts initiative.
The Touch Hearts initiative aims at promoting the spirit of volunteerism among RHB employees by giving them the opportunity to give back to the community.
The latest installment of the initiative aligns with the bank’s theme ‘Making Progress Happen for Everyone’, supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to grow, increase awareness of their products and to flourish post-pandemic.
“This year’s RHB Touch Hearts initiative is slightly different compared to the previous editions.
Understanding the economic recovery stage post pandemic, our beneficiaries this year are MSMEs, some of whom were heavily affected by the pandemic,” said the CEO of RHB Brunei Operations, Haji Ishak bin Othman adding that the latest edition of the initiative was held simultaneously yesterday across six countries the bank has presence in.
“We hope the event provides a positive impact to these businesses and rejuvenates the economic activities in the Sultanate either direct or indirectly,” said the CEO.
Yesterday, 15 vendors were featured at the event offering a variety of local apparel; accessories; food and beverages.
