Make most of every opportunity, students told

Belait Sixth Form Centre school principal Chin Ai Fong yesterday urged students to make most of every opportunity, from actively participating in discussion and never hesitating to ask questions in the classroom; to exploring extracurricular activities at the school by joining clubs, taking on leadership roles, and building friendships that will last a lifetime.

She said this when the Belait Sixth Form Centre welcomed 149 new Year 12 students on Admission Day for the 2025/2026 batch on Tuesday. The event began with the singing of the national anthem led by the school’s choir team, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by Student Representative Council (MPP) member Mohd Nasrul Aniq Izzudin bin Mohd Khairul Azrin.

The event also saw an academic briefing by Deputy Principal (Academic) Lee Siew Peng and a briefing on the Parents Teachers Association (PIBG) administration by Deputy Principal (Administration) Mohd Shamry bin Haji Mohd Sani.

Other briefings included topics on student affairs and welfare, as well as a takaful briefing.

The event concluded with an oath reading led by members of the Year 13 MPPs. – Daniel Lim
