His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received in audience Attorney-General of Malaysia Tan Sri Tommy Thomas, and Attorney-General of the Republic of Singapore Lucien Wong.
Also present was the Attorney-General of Brunei Darussalam Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni bin Haji Abdul Majid. Tan Sri Tommy Thomas and Lucien Wong are in the country for a working visit to attend the 9th Event of the Attorney General’s Chambers of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore.
In a separate audience, His Majesty received in audience Director-General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik.
Accompanying Dr Salim was Director of External Relations and Cooperation, ISESCO Dr Ahmad Said Ould Bah.
Also present at the audience ceremony were Acting Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, and Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad.
ISESCO is one of the international organisations with its key role in shaping cooperation among Islamic countries specifically in the fields of education, science and culture.
Brunei Darussalam was the first country to be visited by Dr Salim after his appointment as the new Director-General of ISESCO on May 9. Dr Salim and delegation are in the country for a five-day working visit.
The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
