Daha Auto Sdn Bhd, the authorised importer of the Italian luxury car brand – Maserati – recently introduced its line-up: Ghibli, Levante, Quattroporte and Grand Turismo MC and I had the opportunity to attend the exclusive preview of these four beasts.
The Ghibli carries the spirit that shaped its first incarnation back in 1966.
Exclusive luxury, glorious style, progressive technology and empowering performance, the Ghibli lets the driver experience something unique in a world of standardised choices and with the bold and elegant feature.
The Ghibli is a luxury sports sedan born from a passion for race-bred engineering, Italian craftsmanship. The striking coupe look featured dynamic sculpted curves.
The combination of elegant Italian style in the cabin with the finest materials such as the Ermenegildo Zegna’s natural silk upholstery.
Next is the four-door full size luxury sports saloon, the sixth generation Quattroporte. The original race-bred luxury sedan is bred to perform and designed to inspire with the undeniably aggressive yet graceful sculpted lines throughout its mighty proportions.
The Quattroporte was born in 1963 and was the first ever luxury sports sedan in the world. The principles of the Quattroporte remain the same as it continues to lead with its unparalleled performance and the distinct Italian style.
The continent-crossing power and awe-inspiring performance of the Quattroporte are meant for life’s most exhilarating moments and the unmistakable Maserati engine note is delivered to full effect thanks to its exhaust system bypass valves that change according to one’s driving style.
It is further enhanced by carbon finishes, high-gloss Black Piano wood trim and stainless steel sport pedals with safety as a top priority in it’s design.
Coming to the third Maserati line-ups is the Levante SUV range. Maserati has a history of naming its cars after world’s famous winds beginning with the legendary Mistral in 1963 followed with the Bora, the Khamsin and now the Levante, which was named after a wind that blows across the Mediterranean that can change from benign calm to gale force in an instant. A luxury SUV with a rich grand touring tradition, the Levante meets every need when it comes to comfort, convenience and driving experience.
The head turner model of the four is the Maserati 4.7-litre V8 engine-powered Gran Turismo MC, which is built by Ferrari.
The compact, lightweight engine expresses the legendary sound that could only come from a powerful, naturally aspirated, all-Italian V8.
