Trial dates will be set on April 25 following six local men’s denial towards charges with theft
and trespassing.
Mohd Samdi bin Kassim, 32; Haziman bin Haji Wahab, 37; Mohammad Rusandy bin Haji Salleh, 40; Shah Hermmi bin Haji Mohammad, 37; Pengiran Muhd Saifullah bin Pengiran Haji Daud, 36; and Hilmi bin Haji Azman, 34, allegedly stole electrical cables from the Brunei Museum at Jalan Kota Batu in 2020.
An alternative charge against the defendants allege them of having trespassed into the compound of the Brunei Museum, which is a government property.
Mohd Samdi and Haziman face a charge with trespassing into an electrical substation at RPN Kampong Mentiri in January.
Haziman and Hilmi are purported to have stolen an air conditioning unit from Dato Mohd Yassin Primary School in Kampong Mentiri on September 6, 2021.
Magistrate Harnita Zelda Skinner released the defendants on bail pending the next mention of the case.
Prosecutor Kamal Ariffin bin Ismail represented the Public Prosecutor in the case.
