Local man dies in Lumut road accident

A LOCAL man died in a car accident near the entrance of the 3rd Battalion, Lumut Camp, Kuala Belait on February 12.

The Sungai Liang Police Station received a distress call about the accident at 9.29pm through their emergency hotline.

Investigations revealed that the victim, identified as 38-year-old Mohammad Saiful Rizal bin Ramelee, had experienced head and chest pains while driving before losing control of his car, resulting in the accident.

The victim sustained a serious head injury which led to his death.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) reminded the public to be mindful of the speed limit and fasten seatbelts while on the road for their own and fellow motorists’ safety.
