The Veteran Youngsters Football Club (YFC) took the runner-up spot in the 12th IRC International Soccer 7’s Tournament at the Arena IRC, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia recently.
The team was led by club founder and patron Dr Haji Kamaruddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talip.
Dr Haji Kamaruddin said he was proud of the team’s achievements, noting that they had won against other veteran clubs including those from Australia, Maldives, Indonesia and Malaysia before advancing to the final round of the tournament.
“YFC will continue to ensure that the players are always active in football, not only to pursue a healthy lifestyle but also to maintain the relationship between players and teams in Brunei and beyond,” said Dr Haji Kamaruddin. – Daniel Lim
