Two local women entrepreneurs, Faridah binti Haji Mohd Taufik and Hajah Rohaya left for Vientiane, Laos yesterday to represent Brunei Darussalam at the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Conference 2024.
The duo will also be attending the ASEAN Special Awards for Women Entrepreneurs 2024, where they will both receive awards. Faridah, popularly known as Chef Miraputra, is receiving the Best Woman Entrepreneur, while Hajah Rohaya will receive Best Woman Entrepreneur in Start-Up.
The upcoming award will be Chef Miraputra’s fifth, following her previous honours: Outstanding ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Award 2015 in Hanoi, Vietnam; Excellent Entrepreneur Women Business Award Brunei Darussalam; 2016 Household Affairs Award, Brunei Darussalam; and ASEAN Mentor for Entrepreneurs (Business Members of ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs’ Network under United States Agency of International Development in Taiwan in 2019.
