Local fashion designer Dayangku Farhana binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Pura spoke on the topic of modest fashion during a virtual workshop held at the 11th International Fashion Fair and Clothing Festival hosted by Iran recently.

The Ambassador of Iran to Brunei Darussalam Homeira Rigi Zirouki feted Dayangku Farhana at the Iranian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam.

The ambassador thanked the clothing designer for participating in the festival, saying “In Iran, professional clothing designers are specialised on the subject of Islamic fashion and clothing, which is welcomed by the people, especially the younger generation.

“As you know, the subject of modest fashion, with its beautiful and practical design in terms of the Hijab is desired by the younger generation in Islamic countries.

“I believe that Muslim designers must have new ideas on a day-to-day design in mind to address the desire for stylish and modern Hijab.”
