As Ramadhan begins, local community members perform acts of charity to receive the holy
Donations of basic necessities and food were presented to 24 underprivileged families in Tutong and Belait districts by members under a charity project called Infak Bantu Orang Kitani.
Mohd Sallehin bin Mohaddin, one of the group members, said they visited residents in Kampong Kiudang, Kampong Tanjong Panjang, Kampong Bukit Udal and Kampong Penabai last Sunday to deliver donations. He said similar donations are planned to 21 more eligible recipients in the Brunei-Muara District and the Temburong District on Sunday.
Mohd Sallehin also said that in March, they presented donations to a less fortunate family in Kampong Tanjung Panjang in Tutong District. The family also received fishing equipment and a boat from the government.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Legal Unit of the Ministry of Religious Affairs held a charity activity on Tuesday by giving financial and basic necessities to underprivileged families in the

received donations. Acting Director of Islamic Legal Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh was present.
