Mulia Hotel along with the Tourism Development Department, Freme Travel Services,The Empire Brunei, Royal Brunei Airlines, Jerudong Park Country Club and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd attended the two-day Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) event.
TRAVEX, a component of ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2020, provided an opportunity for tourism service suppliers in the 10 member countries of ASEAN to meet with travel producers from worldwide markets. It offers a closely controlled meeting place for both ASEAN based sellers and travel buyers from around the world.
TRAVEX featured a set of structures, pre-arranged business appointments between buyers and sellers with the schedule of business appointments monitored by TRAVEX Secretariat to ensure order and efficiency in the conduct of business.
ATF is the most significant annual tourism promotional event in ASEAN, hosted on a rotational basis among the member countries of ASEAN.
Themed ‘ASEAN: Together towards a Next Generation of Travel’, ATF 2020 event also included ASEAN Tourism Conference (ATC).
ATF 2020 aimed to reinforce ASEAN’s mission and objectives that were set out in 1967. Tourism was recognised as one of the major trade forces in giving positive contributions to the region’s socio-economic development.
