ROYAL Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, held a life jacket hand-over ceremony for the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) at its Head Office at Setia Kenangan Complex at Kampong Kiulap yesterday.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud. RBTS Chief Executive Officer Colonel (Rtd) Muzri bin Haji Mokhsin handed over the 50 life jackets to MPABD Acting Chief Executive Haji Bujang bin Haji Tinkong as a support and initiative to contribute to the awareness of the safety of Brunei’s maritime passengers.
The initiative was also to foster closer ties with the MPABD, as they are actively enforcing the use of life jackets for seafarers’ safety nationwide.
