In conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2021, the Brunei Darussalam Hockey Association launched its first ‘Let’s Try Hockey’ virtual clinic on Saturday via online platforms. The virtual clinic will run until December 11.

Brunei Darussalam Hockey Association (BDHA) President Mansor Ibrahim officiated the launch. Present at the virtual event were the committee members of Brunei Darussalam Hockey Association, coaches and participants who have registered for the hockey clinic.

In his opening speech, President of BDHA expressed his gratitude for the support and diligence of the organising committee to run their development programme and promote hockey in Brunei despite the limitations that we are facing in fighting COVID-19.

The president said, “The event marks our first time joining the festivity of Brunei December Festival 2021, and we are looking forward for more interest among the youngsters to try hockey and even better to play them as a family activity while staying at home.”

The clinic is aimed at beginners of any age groups who are interested to learn the basic of hockey skills while staying at home.

The eight-day event consists of interactive sessions with hockey development coaches and national players, daily challenges with interesting prizes to be won by participants.

A virtual skill challenge and live interactive coaching session were also held via Zoom.
