The Belait District Dakwah Unit in collaboration with the Belait District Religious Affairs Office and Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through their Muallaf Development Division and Dakwah Dissemination Division visited the residence of new convert Noor Sa’diyah binti Abdullah Nuing @ Suli Anak Nuing at Kampong Sungai Lalit in Kampong Lumut yesterday.

Leading the group was Head of Religious Officer from the Belait District Religious Affairs Office Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail.

Speaking to the Bulletin, Mohamad Aliyani shared that the activities included replacing the deteriorated wood flooring on the front porch, a cleaning campaign, handing over of necessities, and providing guidance courses and lessons.

“We are grateful to Allah the Almighty to be able to help new converts in lessening their burdens and to disseminate the teachings of Islam,” he said.

The group’s arrival was marked by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Belait District Dakwah Unit officer Muhammad Nur Aisamuddin bin Muhammad Hanafi, followed by the handing over of necessities to the new convert.

Over the course of the day, officers and staff worked to clean the surrounding area and helped with the repair works.

Mohamad Aliyani hoped that such efforts will continue to benefit new converts while helping them practise and embrace Islam.

Also in the group were Assistant Head of Dakwah Dissemination Division Pengiran Haji Jufri bin Pengiran Haji Hidup and President of Sinar Islam Association Abdul ‘Alim bin Abdullah Igol.

The Belait District Dakwah Unit and participating agencies hoped such a campaign will ensure the welfare of the new converts and provide them with guidance as they continue to embrace the Islamic faith.
