Alya Sofea and her guardian Abdul Muiz won first place with their petits fours tarte au chocolat dish in the Les Petits Chefs competition organised by Alliance Francaise Brunei Darussalam at the Mabohai Shopping Complex yesterday.
Second place went to Olivia Yarrow alongside her guardian Nick Yarrow with their Madeleine tricolore et petits pois chocolat, while Dayangku Siti Nurnaila Batrisyia and her guardian Emma with their buche de noel mediant au chocolat in third followed by Izzah Zawanah Irwan and her guardian Zulfa Hassan with their Paris brest cupcakes in fourth.
French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Christian Ramage judged the dishes and presented the prizes.
French patissier Vincent Bostyn and Allaince Francaise teacher Benoit Juppy were among the judges.
The event was part of the line-up of the Brunei December Festival 2020.
