Around 300 students from Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (TASKA YSHHB) learnt about the meaning and traditions of the Chinese New Year celebration.
The school’s acting principal Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi also joined the students in the activities and witnessed the Chinese New Year performances.
Mandarin language teacher Chen provided a brief explanation on the celebration to give a better understanding of the traditional culture of the Chinese New Year.
Students participated in colouring and sticking glitters on to a rabbit drawing in celebration of the year of the rabbit.
Hajah Mariam also presented Chinese New Year gifts to the school’s Chinese teachers.
