During the recent heavy rains and flooding, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel joined Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations across the country.
The Second and Third Battalions of the Royal Brunei Land Force were deployed to Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong District and Pekan Seria Mosque in Belait District to provide assistance.
The assistance included clearing and cleaning up the affected areas to restore the mosques’ function as a centre for religious activities. Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department also provided logistics support.
Such HADR operations reflect the RBAF’s commitment to supporting the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) as the nation’s leading agency in disaster response.
