A total of 19 youth from various youth organisations in the country participated in a Youth Leadership Movement Course 2021.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports (MCYS) through Department of Youth and Sports (JBS) in collaboration with Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam (OBBD) it was held at its Youth Centre in Temburong from January 25 to 28.

The participating youth were selected based on their potential to be nurtured as future leaders.

The course was an initiative by the MCYS towards the development of excellence among local youth by leading them towards positive and effective roles in their associations and polishing their leadership potential.

Activities included an ice breaking session, group dynamic activities, leadership exercises, jungle trekking, and kayaking.

The course is conducted thrice a year, to improve participants’ leadership skills including managing their associations and provide exposure to outdoor activities that test their physical and mental endurance.
